All about YouTube! From making channel to monetization.

Many people out there want to start a YouTube channel and earn money from making videos and uploading it. Let’s talk about the steps to create a channel and then we will talk about it’s monetization.

So all you need is a Gmail account to create a YouTube Channel. You can use both your PC or smart phone to create channel.

At the right top corner you will see your profile picture or a round icon showing first letter of your name incase you haven't uploaded your profile picture, click on it and you will see a list.

Now, you can see “Create a Channel” button, click on it. Congratulation your YouTube channel has been created!

Now a “Your Channel” button will appear and if you click on it, it will show you all activity of you channel that is, videos you uploaded, playlist and a customize channel button.

In customize channel, you can customize your channel the way it looks and do different settings.

Now that your channel is created you should have some content, most probably I would say unique content, to make videos on it and upload it on your channel.

How to earn $ from your content? Time to answer this question. YouTube has a criteria to monetize channel, you’ll need 1000 subscribers and a 4000 public watch time. Go to the YouTube Studio and at left menu find monetization button, click on it and your screen will show you page similar as shown below.

In the end of the page click on “Notify me when I’m eligible”, this feature will automatically email you once you have 1000 subscribers and 4000 public watch time, that means you will be eligible.

Here is the advice, consistently upload quality videos and keep doing hard work as hard work always pays off. Also grow your channel using social media platforms.

Once you are eligible you’ll need to link Google AdSense with your YouTube Channel to make money as it gives Ads to you video, which will generate revenue for you. You can also make revenue from different sponsors once you have good number of audience.
